About Kirsten (she/her)

Despite more than 32 years of clinical experience, I value having a beginner's mindset of continual learning. Clients have expressed appreciation that I stay on top of newer modalities and ways of approaching therapy.

My approach is holistic, as mind, body and spirit are all connected.

My areas of specialization include trauma (both types that are widely recognized and types that aren't), grief, anxiety and depression.

Before working solely in private practice, my experience included:

*Therapist at the University of Chicago Hospital Outpatient Psychiatry Department

*Bereavement Program Coordinator/Social Worker and Consultant in the hospice field for 17 years

*Co-Coordinator of the Heartlight Program at Children's Memorial Hospital for families who had a child die

*September 11th Program Director for Willow House Berevement Center providing grief and trauma services to bereaved families in the Midwest who had lost a loved on 9/11 and survivors who had escaped the buildings that day.
